Centre – Scotland’s most southerly
point RSPB Nature Reserve Lighthouse Visitors Centre and recently

Logan
Fish Pond and Marine Life Centre – Victorian fish ladder, touch
pools and cave aquarium. Logan Fish Pond has been open for more than
200 years and is a unique visitor attraction you will not want to
miss
Creetown General Museum – Leading
independent museum of its kind in the UK
Bladnoch Distillery – Bladnoch Distillery and Visitors Centre
houses the most southerly distillery in Scotland
Stenaline – Why
not use Portpatrick as your base and travel on a day trip to Ireland
from nearby Cairnryan Port
Gardens
Ardwell Gardens – boasts a large variety of Azaleas,
Camellias and Rhododendrons.
Logan
Botanic Gardens – one of
the national botanic gardens of Scotland and one of the most exotic
gardens in the country
Dunskey Gardens – walled and woodland
gardens
Castle Kennedy Gardens – part of Stair Estates. The
gardens extend to 30 hectares
Glenwhan Gardens – Gardens stand
on the hill of Dunragit 6 miles south of Stranraer. 12 acres of gardens
Golf
Portpatrick/Dunskey
Golf Club – Portpatrick Golf Club is
situated approximately 2 minutes from The Knowe. Offering both 18
hole and
9 hole golf courses. Both courses have stunning views. Due to the
temperate climate golf is played all year round. The Club is renowned
for its friendly welcome to visitors
Stranraer Golf Club – The
course has stunning views over the Isle of Arran and Ailsa Craig.
It is a superb course
Lagganmore Golf Club – A new course laid
out on agricultural land near to Portpatrick. This is an 18 hole
course.
Wigtownshire
County Golf Course – A true links course
with 18 holes situated on the shores of the scenic Luce Bay
Activities
Ryan Centre Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre in Stranraer approximately
10 minutes away. The Ryan Centre also includes a theatre and cinema,
games hall, childens soft play area etc.
Curling – During the
winter months curling can be played at the North West Castle Hotel
in Stranraer.

Kirkmadrine
early Christian stones – Situation of the oldest
Christian site on the rhins of Galloway with a church established
as early as the 5th century.
Glens of Sabie – Stunning property founded around 1192 with
